Some of us are serious about that press-n-curl or fresh do just before the weekend but it’s definitely real in the streets when stylists start pulling out guns and shooting upsalons. Yesterday, it went down at the J SpotSalon in Atlanta, owned by Derek J. from ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta,’ after Keyshia Cole’s sister Neffe came into the shop. According to Channel 2 News, she had just gotten her hair done by a crosstown stylist and hated the results so she came to Derek J’s shop to see if he could help her. Derek couldn’t help her at the moment so he told her to reach out to the stylist to see what exactly he had done so that they could restructure the style. She left and a few hours later, the crosstown stylist came into the shop and all hell broke loose:
Derek J. told Channel 2:
“I’m upset because my floor is messed up now. [Neffe's hair was] messed up to the point we didn’t know what to do. So I was just like, reach out to the stylist and say, ‘Hey, what did you use, what did you do?’ and it turned from a professional conversation to more of an argument, but we thought it was done. A few hours later, a gentleman shows up, the other stylist, wanting to talk and started an argument. I asked him to leave.[...]We thought it was going to be a quick exchange with words and then he was going to be gone. So, nobody really knew he would pull out a gun.”
Lisa McCall who also owns thesalon said the unnamed stylist was walking around the shop waving the gun, even getting up in her face before shooting.
“Before turning away, he waved the gun in my face and said, ‘You don’t think I will?’ And I backed up.”
Watch Derek tell the story below:
Seems like the stylist was insulted by whatever was said when Neffe went to get her hair fixed but it’s never that serious to come in the shop and start swinging a gun -_-. Straight foolishness.
