Some viewers complainedthey almost had a seizure, others complained ofthe vulgarity ofthe lyrics….BUT, It doesn’t matter why or if you hated it, the only thing that matters is that you watched it (maybe even twice). That means you helped Nicki Minaj break a Vevo record.
After just five days of it’s release, more than 10 million people have viewed it. Butthe record Vevo says Nicki broketook place 24 hours afterthe video premiered.The day after Roman reaked havoc on your personal computer,the video had racked in 4.8 million views–a new record. Which means a sh-t load of people wantto know what Roman is Reloading.
As we previously reported, Nicki moved her album release date from Feb. 14to April 3. But, just when people startedto speculate if her follow up album wouldn’t do so well based on lack of interest inthe song,the video helpedthe album gain some buzz.The new vid also breathed life into the single, which has jumped from somewhere around 130to number 35 on iTunes’top songs in just four days while her single “Turn Me On” f/ David Guetta is sitting pretty at #1 on Itunes and has already went Gold. David recently revealed that a video is inthe works for that track as well.
Meanwhile, it’s uncertain if you will see ‘Stupid Hoe’ on your television screens. Nicki revealed that she chose Vevoto premiere her videoto protect her art:
“Can’t premiere on a network b/c its important that my art is not tampered with, or compromised priorto you viewing it forthe 1st time.”
