Azealia Banks Signs With Lady Gaga’s Manager

Azealia Banks is on the fast track to becoming a heavy-weight superstar.

She’s already worked with frequent Gaga collaborator Nicola Formichetti on her unreleased video for spitfire track “Liquorice.” Now, just days after her highly-praised Coachella performance, she’s snagged Gaga’s manager Troy Carter, CEO of Atom Factory, to help manage her path to success.
Aside from assisting Lady Gaga with becoming one of the biggest pop stars to date, Troy was also instrumental in the commercial success of rapper EVE. Under his management, Eve went from being Ruff Ryder’s first lady, pegged ‘the pitbull in a skirt’, to selling over 8 million records as a solo artist and achieving crossover/pop success with the single, ‘Let Me Blow Your Mind’ featuring Gwen Stefani. She also became the first rapper to star in her very own, self-titled, TV show and later launched her own clothing line, Fetish.
Yesterday, Azealia was suppose to release her new EP, ‘1991‘ EP, however she tweeted that the release was being postponed until a later date due to her change in management:

“I just switched management.. Literally like three days ago, and have a whole new set of resources to take advantage of.”
“We’re gonna vamp this up and make it official.. No more ghetto mixes and closet recording.. I have a budget now! #brokewithexpensivetaste”

Broke with Expensive Taste will be the title of her debut album which will be released later this year through Universal.

The theme is a young girl trying to find it. Success! Herself! Her path! The young girl trying to make it! That girl who’s at the end of her childhood trying to get a job and make some money, you know? She needs to get what she can get! She needs to go out there and show people she knows how to work for it.

Meanwhile, a little interesting tidbit. Around the time Nicki Minaj ditched her former manager Deb Atney back in 2010, there were rumors that Nicki was close to signing with Troy (which would have been a good move) but his current artist, Gaga, felt as though it was a conflict of interest.
Now the real question is; what is Kanye planning to do with Azealia? It’s obvious that he’s taking some type of interest in her as an artist (it’s surprising that she’s not signed to G.O.O.D Music) but what’s next? Upcoming collabo?

Steve Harvey Buys Wife 25 Carat Ring

Steve Harvey seems to have all the relationship advice when it comes to women acting like a lady and thinking like a man, however, the follow up book should be titled, ‘Fellas, This is how you treat your woman’.
Steve is obviously ballin’ out of control and he recently splurged those baller bucks on a 25 carat canary yellow diamond ring for his wife Majorie. (Diamonds are obviously his wife’s best friend). During a recent episode of the Real Housewives of Atlanta, Steve and Majorie ran into Nene Leakes in Los Angeles and Nene literally gasped for air once she got a good look at Majorie’s bling.  When she inquired about how big the ring was, Majorie told her that the center of the ring was 25 carats to which Nene replied, ‘Majorie, now you know you gotta be like [getting it in the bedroom.]‘.

Nene better go drop it like it’s hot for Greg and get her one of those.

Ruben Studdard’s Ex-Wife Gets Almost Nothing In Divorce Settlement

Life size teddy bear and former ‘American Idol’ winner Ruben Studdard thought he found everlasting love when he met  Zuri McCants at a Wal-Mart CD signing in 2006 and later married her in 2008. Apparently, he was wrong because the two ended up filing for divorce after three years of marriage last November, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for their split. According to TMZ, even though Zuri signed a prenup before they were married, she attempted to cash out and get the judge to nullify the document, claiming Ruben pulled a fast one and used the peer-pressure tactic by presenting the prenup just days before the wedding.
Recently, the judge dropped down the gavel with a heavy ‘girl please’ and upheld the prenup, awarding Zuri damn near nothing.  Ruben is a happy and lucky man because according to the final judgment, he didn’t have to pay any spousal support or alimony, and he gets to keep their home plus all his belongings –clothing, jewelry, pensions, royalties, and all his money. Wait, it’s not over … Zuri was even ordered to give Ruben back her blinged out engagement ring.

In the end, Zuri basically gets what she came with plus her wedding dress, her photo albums, a 2006 BMW, and $10,000 property settlement, $2,000 for attorney’s fees, and her maiden name back.
Maybe next time she should hire Kelis’ lawyer….

Jay-z Shows Off His Beach Body With Beyonce

It looks as though Daddy Carter has been keeping that 42 year old body in shape.

He was spotted shirtless on the beach earlier today while enjoying some fun in the sun with Beyonce who was a little more shy about showing off her post-baby body.  The two are currently continuing their Easter vacation in St. Barts after celebrating their fourth anniversary.

Lil Blue Ivy Carter is only three months old and is already jetsetting and living the good life.
Just days after their fourth wedding anniversary, Beyonce and Jay were spotted in St. Barts with Baby Blue and a camera in tow.  The couple spent most of their Easter holiday on a private yacht, walking the island and shopping while enjoying the nice weather. Meanwhile, despite the nice temperature, Bey kept Blue Ivy pretty much shielded with a blanket while out and about throughout the duration of the trip.

Alicia Keys is covering the upcoming April/May 2012 Issue of Vibe Magazine’s Global Issue and she is being more open than ever as she discussed the relationship that made headlines over the past few years. Alicia and Swizzy agreed to be interviewed together over lunch for the issue and the two discussed how they ended up becoming soul mates, as well as their marriage life and struggles they had to overcome over the past few years.

It’s one of those novel ideas cooked up by magazine editors, but Keys, who seems more open now than she’s ever been, was keen to participate. But spend a couple of hours with them drinking cocktails that taste like tropical fruit juice, and it’s clear they don’t need color-coordinated outfits to get the point across. He’ll tug at the sleeve of her coat to help her shimmy out of it. Her hand will rest sweetly on his thigh. Well, second, if you count the time, 14 years ago, when they first met and Dean tried unsuccessfully to get her number from his friend. “It wasn’t our time yet,” he says with a smile.
